    Laava is excited to announce our partnership with AW Hainsworth and Sons Ltd and the University of Liverpool in a groundbreaking project to develop an advanced traceability system for wool textiles. This collaboration will drive product authentication, supply chain circularity, and compliance with the EU’s forthcoming Digital Product Passport requirements. AW Hainsworth’s dedication to research and innovation is a key reason they’ve remained a world-renowned woollen mill for nearly 250 years. It’s an honor to work together to set new standards in traceability and sustainability, helping the textile industry navigate the broader Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. This project tackles the complexity of integrating new EU regulations into Hainsworth’s vertically integrated wool production processes. By partnering with the University of Liverpool and Laava as their chosen software provider, AW Hainsworth aims to serve as a knowledge transfer leader for the UK textile sector. A special thanks to our Laava team members, Thibault de Gaulejac and Perry Everett, whose hard work and expertise have been invaluable to this project.     ?? Will Digital Product Passports (DPPs) Become a Global Standard for Product Transparency? The European Union is pioneering a significant transformation with its push for mandatory Digital Product Passports (DPPs). Starting with sectors like textiles, electronics, and batteries, the EU’s 2027 deadline is setting a new regulatory benchmark, positioning DPPs as non-negotiable for brands wanting access to the EU market. As major economies monitor and potentially adopt similar mandates, DPPs could soon become a global expectation. For multinational brands, this shift means meeting product data transparency standards across various markets - a move that not only simplifies compliance but also builds consumer trust across borders. So, what if we took this a step further? As DPP frameworks mature, there’s an incredible opportunity to establish a universal standard for product data transparency. Imagine a global baseline for data formats, metrics, and terminology, enabling products to move seamlessly across borders without the need for re-validation in each region. Industries reliant on international trade and complex supply chains, such as electronics, automotive, and consumer goods, stand to benefit significantly from such streamlined compliance. A unified DPP standard could create an unprecedented level of transparency for brands and consumers alike. From raw material sourcing to end-of-life disposal, every step in a product’s journey could be verified and traceable. Brands would gain instant insights into their supply chains, equipping them to respond swiftly to recalls or environmental impact issues. This could build an ecosystem of digital trust where product data flows freely yet securely between brands, regulators, and consumers. For consumers, DPPs would provide a straightforward way to verify a product’s ethical and environmental impact, reinforcing brand trust and loyalty. With innovations like AI-driven compliance checks and real-time product alerts, DPPs could improve both safety and confidence. Trust in a product’s digital identity, verifiable from origin to market, could also significantly reduce counterfeiting and fraud. In essence, a universal DPP standard could redefine transparency, compliance, and consumer confidence. By harmonizing regulatory requirements and industry standards, DPPs have the potential to simplify trade, strengthen brand integrity, and drive global sustainability - becoming a cornerstone of an ethical, transparent future in consumer goods. ?? Para todo el equipo de Las Quinas es mucho más que eso. Es también crear valor a través de la capacitación, el trabajo y el esfuerzo, y de esta manera poder comenzar a transformar realidades. Es la increíble posibilidad de, y a partir de la elaboración de un producto, formar parte y ayudar a visibilizar a una impresionante obra humanitaria, con alto Impacto Social de Mujeres en situación de maxima vulnerabilidad, como es Akamasoa Argentina ????. Fue así que decidimos elaborar una mermelada de Frutillas con co-branding de Akamasoa. Con un dise?o como solo los genios de Tridimage? pueden crear. El producto también cuenta con un packaging inteligente con tinta invisible y un algoritmo que permite que cada frasco sea único, lo cual resulta muy innovador para lo que es un packaging de estas características. El Premio PENTAWARDS reafirma que nuestra mermelada tiene el mejor packaging y dise?o con propósito del ??!!. Lo so?amos, lo intentamos y lo conseguimos, en Equipo, como más nos gusta!!     Exciting Announcement: Laava Joins CIRPASS-2 - Digital Product Passport-2 to Shape the Future of Digital Product Passports (DPP) We are pleased to announce that Laava is now an integral part of the?CIRPASS-2 project, mandated by the European Parliament to develop and demonstrate the Digital Product Passport (DPP) framework. This initiative will shape the future of DPPs and play a key role in driving upcoming EU legislation on product transparency and traceability. The CIRPASS-2 project unites a diverse range of stakeholders—government bodies, universities, research groups, NGOs, and private sector representatives from across the EU. Experts from various fields will contribute through?Expert Working Groups (EWGs), providing feedback, sharing knowledge, and helping guide the project to success. Laava is proud to participate in?EWG2 - Standardization Liaisons, which focuses on monitoring and reporting the progress of DPP standardization activities. Our role is to ensure?interoperability?of data structures, formats, and protocols across the DPP system framework, reinforcing our commitment to secure, connected products. This partnership reflects Laava’s leadership in?traceability, compliance, and product authentication solutions. As part of the DPP’s core development process, Laava now has?access to critical insights, allowing us to actively contribute to the creation of a robust and future-ready DPP solution for the European market.
