Meet Madeline Jursek, our Integrated Media Strategy Manager, who shapes and executes media strategies that drive brand visibility, engagement and business growth. Madeline's La-Z-Boy journey has been marked by curiosity and a commitment to growth, learning from her own experiences and the unique perspectives of those around her. She recently reflected on one of her biggest learning experiences since joining La-Z-Boy—traveling to High Point Furniture Market. "I had the chance to interact with people I don’t typically interact with on a day-to-day basis, from the sales team to our dealers. This Veterans Day, we honor the unwavering dedication, resilience and sacrifices of our current and former armed service members. Our team members in Dayton, TN, were invited to a special event at the local National Guard Armory in recognition of their service to our country. The event began with the National Anthem, followed by a flag presentation for the Pledge of Allegiance by Rhea County High School’s JROTC program. We continue to enhance our veteran programs and provide new platforms, such as the La-Z-Boy Salute employee resource group, which aims to provide employees with the support and tools to thrive. Across our global facilities, we’ve been celebrating the hardworking manufacturing workforce responsible for delivering craftsmanship and quality with every product they create. Here are some of the ways we made Manufacturing Month memorable: > Our World Headquarters in Monroe, MI, welcomed eighth graders from Wagar Middle School to tour our facilities and participate in a simulated "Cookie Factory" production line, where they learned key manufacturing principles. > Our Neosho, MO, manufacturing plant invited students to participate in a hands-on build-a-chair workshop. Plus, leadership hosted an all-employee appreciation lunch with hamburgers, hot dogs and lots of gratitude. > Our Dayton, TN, manufacturing plant hosted a Prize Wheel event, where approximately 150 employees won prizes ranging from La-Z-Boy T-shirts to gift cards and more! > Our Siloam, AR, manufacturing plant welcomed students from the Career Academy of Siloam Springs for a facility tour, including a safety overview and discussion on the history of La-Z-Boy. > England Incorporated kicked off Fun Fridays with weekly themes like Country Western Day, bringing the La-Z-Boy spirit to the factory floor.
