Last week I was fortunate enough to speak in front of 50+ Tech CEO's based in the Los Angeles area. During my speech I was able to express the impact LA-Tech.org has made on my life and my journey. Graduating high school with a low GPA my only option was community college. It was a time in my life where I lacked direction and was trying to figure out my next steps. Being a first gen student I lacked the connections and opportunities that so many others were exposed too. LA-Tech.org was one of the first resources I used to get my first internships. Through their connections and emphasis on providing oppurtunties for low income underrepresented backgrounds, I developed many of the skills I now use at my job. Apart from the skills I learned I was able to meet so many amazing people that mentored and coached me to be a better person and leader. A special thanks for Jason Nazar who showed me what it meant to be a leader and taking time out of his busy days as a CEO to guide me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to pay it forward by encouraging others to create the same kinds of opportunities that were extended to me. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who believed in me when others didn’t.

It was fantastic to get to spend some time at the LA-Tech.org CEO Summit last week. Starting with a beautiful setting at Terranea Resort and an ideal mix of investors, established CEOs and promising early stage entrepreneurs, it was a great couple of days of learning, sharing and bonding, with many long-time friends and a bunch of new ones. LA-Tech.org, led by Adam Miller and Sean Arian, has an amazing mission to connect LA's technology and growth company community to talented underrepresented individuals and communities through their internship program--I'd encourage all companies to check and take part in this program.

We had the pleasure of hosting Nathan Glassman, Lead Product Manager, AI Strategy at Mission Lane, and Dan Dalzotto, They provided our scholars with valuable insights into practicing product development skills through hands-on activities. Our scholars worked on building out their ideas and products while receiving live feedback from industry leaders.
