Serving Spanish-Speaking families in San Francisco since 1970 ??? Family, Food, and Legal Services
关于我们
Our Mission: To serve as a bridge between San Francisco and Spanish speaking immigrant families with direct support and advocacy to ensure Latino and Indigenous immigrant communities can access resources, realize their power, and thrive. La Raza Community Resource Center is a bilingual, multi-service, non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the social service, immigration, educational, and leadership development needs of low-income families and individuals. The majority of La Raza participants are Spanish-speaking families and individuals of all ages, living in the Mission District of San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. But we serve a diverse body of individuals from the vast and various ethnic groups in the community. The agency provides city wide services, and is located in Centro Del Pueblo, a facility that houses several non-profit agencies. Most of La Raza participants are Spanish-speaking families and individuals of all ages who reside in the Mission District and the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Other ethnic groups served are African American, Caucasian and Asian /Pacific Islander. The agency provides citywide services and is in the North Mission area.

In March, we supported an unhoused family of three, including a 6-year-old girl, who fled their home country seeking asylum. Facing homelessness, our team of counselors entered them into our #RapidResponse Program. We've since connected them with housing, emergency financial aid, food assistance, healthcare enrollment, clothing, free transportation and access to legal guidance on the asylum process. This #GivingTuesday, your donation can help vulnerable families reach peace, safety, and security – regardless of their income or ethnicity. Support our mission today:?https://lnkd.in/g4PxWfFF Thank you to our partners at Compass Family Services, Food Runners SF, and St. Anthony Foundation for helping us bring our mission to life. #VivaLaRaza #ImmigrationRights #HumanRights

On a brighter note, a huge thank you to Maurice Rivers of the OMI Cultural Participation Project for giving our dedicated team members access to the San Francisco Symphony last week. As advocates for immigrant rights and housing justice, we understand that access to cultural experiences is vital to building an equitable, inclusive San Francisco. This partnership exemplifies how cultural engagement strengthens our ability to serve immigrant families and fight for housing justice. Moving experiences like these help inspire initiatives that foster greater empowerment, self-sufficiency, and social justice in our communities. Thank you to all who support our mission of creating positive change for San Francisco's immigrant communities. We stand with you. #ImmigrantRights #HousingJustice #CommunityPartnerships #SanFrancisco #SFSympathy

Democracy in action at La Raza CRC! Today, our community food pantry serves as a polling place, ensuring our Mission District neighbors—especially immigrant families and those facing housing challenges—have easy access to exercise their democratic rights. We believe that just as everyone deserves access to food and stable housing, everyone deserves a voice in shaping our city's future. By breaking down barriers to civic participation, we're building a more inclusive San Francisco. ?Tu voto es tu voz! Vote today & let your voices be heard! ?#VotingRights #HousingJustice #ImmigrantRights #SanFrancisco #MissionDistrict
