Founded in 2003 as the only public-private funder collaborative focused on children birth to five years old in LA County, the LA Partnership consists of more than 25 foundations, First 5 LA and county agencies, and school districts that serve the youngest children. The LA Partnership supports system and policy change impacting children’s well-being by designing and promoting solutions, funding, and policies that nurture the lifelong health, education, and economic stability of LA County’s youngest children and their families. Working collaboratively with communities throughout the county, the LA Partnership is a driver of innovative approaches that ensure families with young children thrive.

We are excited to announce the third cohort of the Richard Atlas Early Childhood Leadership Initiative in partnership with Rockwood Leadership Institute! https://lnkd.in/gNKy8zhR How did this program come to be? As many of you know, Richard and Lezlie Atlas are longtime leaders in early childhood through their foundation, The Atlas Family Foundation. After Rich’s untimely passing over four years ago, the family wanted to honor his legacy. Rich believed in the power of great people and great leaders to create meaningful change. He also genuinely loved bringing people together to get to know and learn from one another. To honor Rich’s memory and continue the work he and Lezlie have engaged in tirelessly for more than 25 years, we are proud to continue the third and final year of a leadership development and training initiative to support early and mid-career leaders in the early childhood field in Los Angeles County. Please share this with anyone in your network or organization who you believe would benefit from participating.
