Last month, La Amistad Behavioral Health Services proudly became a member of the American Residential Treatment Association (ARTA), a network of 28 leading facilities dedicated to exceptional care for adults and adolescents with mental health issues. To mark this milestone, our Chief Operating Officer, Brian Sellers, LCSW, and Director of Business Development, Ashley DeRazza, MA, traveled to Massachusetts for ARTA's fall gathering. Against the stunning backdrop of New England's fall foliage, they connected with some of the most respected professionals and programs in the nation. As youth anxiety rates continue to rise in 2024, parents play a critical role in identifying and addressing the challenges their children face. ? It was a successful Family Weekend at La Amistad! ? We believe that healing doesn't just happen within our walls; it's a family journey. This past weekend, we had the privilege of hosting our Family Weekend, where families came together to engage, learn, and grow alongside our dedicated team. Our Program Manager, Kathleen Keane, and our incredible team of licensed therapists and educators led workshops focused on understanding the deeper goals of adolescent behavior, how to respond with empathy, and, most importantly, how to rebuild trust within the family system.
