No. 11,631,063 B2) - a real-time, scalable, high-capacity solution with full accounting and financing functionality for advanced digital ecosystems. One of the key elements of TapestryX is that we recognized the world already had a consistent “protocol” for the secure recording of assets and transactions. It has been around since medieval times and is called Double-Entry Accounting. The differentiator is that TapestryX is the only hash-linked distributed ledger that includes accounting journals and the only ledger (distributed or otherwise) that has brought it to transaction inception in real-time.

Blockchain REAL-TIME SETTLEMENT Real-time settlement is the goal of blockchain solutions, but if you require mining, consensus or independent validators, then you have latency and real-time settlement is not possible. However, the real-time transfer of assets is only possible if you have, what are called, "long" positions. Banks, brokers, fund managers and hedge funds will all lend their money and securities or post it as collateral. Without those obligations recorded as payables & receivables with truly real-time settlement, the requirements for intra-day netting and financing is not practically possible.
