Consumer expenditure on fishing gear in Japan and the US, Megabass’ two largest markets, has been on an uptick and is expected to continue increasing as casual anglers increasingly seek to become more proficient and purchase high-quality products to aid in their quest. Having a suite of fishing lures, baits, and rods which have a reputation for being effective and trustworthy, Megabass is well positioned for further growth on the back of these tailwinds. Big news as EGYM (EGYM | DACH, EGYM Wellpass) has attracted nearly $200 million in primary funding from L Catterton and Meritech Capital at a valuation of over $1 billion. It is the latest (series G) round of investment for EGYM and the funding will support the continued expansion of EGYM’s Wellpass corporate wellness network and drive further development of its digital solutions and smart strength equipment.
