Yesterday our KYTX CBS19 Weather Experts (Chief Brett Anthony, Sara Blue, and Savannah Hale) led us & the market through Tropical Storm Beryl. This included 4.5 hours of continuous coverage with an additional 2 hours of news coverage to round out the day. TS Beryl was the most intense Weather Impact Alert Day in ETX history, producing 67 NWS Tornado Warnings, which more than doubled the previous record! Auyana, a Dallas native, earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Houston where she was president of the university’s Association of Black Journalists and a student reporter and host for UH Sports Coog TV. She also completed internships with Fox Sports in Charlotte, North Carolina, and with Houston Public Media. ?
