Getting ready for 2025 is not just about the things WE HAVE TO DO but also about the things WE SHOULD NOT DO. A lot of things get thrown onto HR either because nobody else wants them or because they don't value our true worth. Well, it's time to STOP. Saying YES to things we shouldn't do is not helping others; it is decreasing our worth. In 2025, let's say NO more often to what doesn't really matter or is not valuable and start focusing on the truly transformative role HR can have! There are like 100 more things to add to this list. But let's keep it short for now. HR is a value-creating business function. We are a revenue and profit unit, not a cost center. We are business leaders who wear the people/HR hat. We solve complex business challenges and add value to interesting opportunities with people. We have a unique vantage point at work: we operate at the intersection of people and business, and no one else does. Let's continue creating value and claiming our space as the creators of value for our organizations. --- ?? What else would you add to this list?
