How to end a conversation: #1: When they don't stop talking, make it sound as if it's you who's holding them up. #2: Close the loop. That means whatever you started talking about, you're going to come back around and finish it. #3: If you are the one who initiated the conversation, instead of waiting for that awkward space to leave the conversation just act as if you're checking off a list.
