Take breaks on long trips. ? Switch drivers or find a safe place to rest if needed. Stay alert. Stay safe. Drive awake! #WorldSleepDay #DrowsyDriving #StayAlert

  • East-Central and North-Central Kentucky have a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 7 PM EST tonight (Feb. 18, 2025) to noon EST Wednesday. The National Weather Service expects accumulations of 3 to 5 inches of snow. In addition to snow, many areas of the state are still experiencing flooding. Please use caution while traveling. ?? Turn Around, Don’t Drown. ?? ?? Never drive through flooded roads – just a few inches of water can sweep a vehicle away. ?? Do not drive around barricades – they are there for your safety. ?? Avoid driving at night in flooded areas – it’s harder to judge water depth. ?? Wet roads + freezing temps = black ice risk, especially on bridges and overpasses. ?? Snow and ice can hide flood damage like washed-out roads or debris. ?? Slow down, increase following distance, and watch for ice patches and flooded roadways. ?? Pack an emergency kit with blankets, snacks, a flashlight, and a phone charger. Please stay safe, Kentucky, and let’s look out for one another. ??

  • Heavy Rain = High Risk Flooding is happening across the state, making roads dangerous. Remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Just a few inches of water can sweep your car away. ?? Never drive through standing water. ?? Watch for road closures and updates. ?? Take it slow—wet roads mean less traction. Stay safe, stay aware, and don’t take chances. Your destination can wait. #FloodSafety

  • We are proud to recognize two of our KOHS team members, Jay Postelwaite and Chase Deaton, as Team Kentucky All-Stars. Their dedication and selflessness in assisting North Carolina during the flooding from Hurricane Helene did not go unnoticed. Thank you for your willingness to go beyond borders to help keep more than Kentucky’s roadways safe—we truly appreciate your hard work.
