We are pleased to announce that Alden Alexander has joined the KWILL Merchant Advisors team as Director of Business Development. Alden brings her experience from the real estate industry and executive operational improvement to focus on portfolio cashflow, asset management, business development, and will hold the New York Broker’s License on behalf of KWILL Real Estate.? ? Alden started her career at Equity Group Investments, the Chicago based private investment firm of Sam Zell, as a member of the investment relations and research team. After making the move to New York City in 2013, Alden took a position with CBRE, a global real estate services group, as a commercial real estate tenant representative, advising and executing real estate strategy for multi-market and fortune 500 retail clients. Subsequent to?working for CBRE, she joined?Urban Smart Growth and later Mallard Creek Capital Partners (MCCP), both family-founded real estate development and investment firms, where she honed skills in portfolio repositioning, development, leasing, operations, and management on the landlord side.? ? Preceding Alden’s Real Estate career, she earned a national championship in rowing with Colby College, is a proud third-generation graduate of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and has obtained her 100 Ton U.S. Captain’s License while internationally racing and delivering sailing yachts.? ? When we partner with owners of industrial property – especially in southern parts of Chicago – many times our opinion of value is greater than an appraised value previously obtained. Our experts understand the market and recognize the value of assets even with a limited scope of comparable sale data – much of which are low. This particular building sits on over 1-acre of secured land with nearby access to rail (freight and commuter) and I-90/94. These attributes allowed us to secure a sale price 300% greater than appraised value. The buyer will be occupying the building for their business and will utilize the outdoor storage area for parking. Matthew Knafel and Andrew Gerovasil were the leads on this sale.?
