3rd times a charm! ? This week I attended the Ad Age Small Agency Conference in Boston alongside the TikTok team and some incredible small independent creative agencies. I look forward to attending this conference each year, it's two days of candid creative conversation, knowledge sharing and celebrating incredible work from teams that show you can truly drive impact through entertaining work without big teams or budgets. ?? This year the conference almost doubled in size (congrats Ad Age), it was great to catch-up with creative agencies I have met over the past two years and connect with new emerging agencies who are driving innovation and new ways to create across a variety of channels + verticals. ?? This year's Best Use of TikTok winners showcased the power of the platform and driving results at scale for clients of all sizes. Shout out to kvell collective, Gold Winner for their Adobe work Redesigning Signs which featured graphic designer Max Kolomatsky redesigning signs from local community boards in NYC. SMALL won Silver Winner for their campaign with CoorDown for World Down Syndrome Day that leveraged the TikTok platform to source examples of ridiculous excuses to not be inclusive and sparked conversation across the globe. As a Canadian it was so fantastic to see local shops Angry Butterfly and Courage Inc take home awards! ?? ?? I always leave this conference feeling energized and excited by the work coming out of small indie agencies who are moving at the speed of culture, tapping into new ways of working and driving the industry forward. ??
