A huge shout out to the Cotillion from the Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties! They filled wish lists for 10 kids for our Holiday Heroes program providing personalized gifts to families being served by KVC! Fun fact, KVC Health Systems began in 1970 as a multi-story brick home in downtown Kansas City, Kansas called?Wyandotte House. A group of caring women from the?Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties created Wyandotte House. You can also make the holiday bright for a youth who is in foster care, has safely reunited with their family, has been adopted or is receiving treatment in our children’s psychiatric hospital! His commitment and support for our mission has made a lasting impact on both our team and the community. Here's what a team member shared about Logan: "Logan works in our treatment foster care program. He continuously goes above and beyond for the children and families he serves! He is such an asset to our team for many reasons but one of those is his expertise working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. His ability to support our team and provide resources for some of the most difficult situations has been invaluable. Recently we had an foster care supervisor, from outside of KVC, tell us how great Logan is and how much of a great support he has been to families in his area. He said the families feel incredibly supported and that everybody is very appreciative of all the resources Logan provides to the families he works with. We appreciate Logan very much and look forward to seeing him continue to make such great strides with some of our youth that have very difficult challenges." ? Huge shout out to KMBC 9 for supporting kids served by KVC! During the back-to-school season, the KMBC 9 Cares for Kids initiative raised $45,023 to buy backpacks, clothes, and other supplies so kids could start their school year with confidence! To thank them for being such an excellent partner, some of our teammates stopped by the studio to deliver some treats including cookies, muffins, and thank you notes from the kiddos who received school supplies!
