?? Wrapping up a phenomenal semester at KU Blockchain Institute! This fall, we dove into the spaces of web3, crypto, and blockchain through an incredible lineup of events and collaborations that brought our Jayhawk community together. Here’s a quick highlight reel: ?? Joshua B., founder of Normal, shared his journey of building a protocol with handcrafted crypto indexes! ?? We teamed up with KU Women in Computing to host Paige Jones, Senior Software Engineer at Pinata, who gave us an overview of decentralized technologies and a behind-the-scenes look at life as a software engineer! ?? Hudson Headley joined us for a collab with ACM at KU, where he shared entrepreneurial insights, the concept of DAOs, and the story behind his startup, Poa! ?? And in a major milestone, we partnered with KU Rock Chalk Investment Club to expand educational initiatives into the The University of Kansas School of Business. ?? Our semester wasn’t just about events on campus! We hit the road (and the skies) to attend Ripple's UBRI Connect in Switzerland, ETHGlobal San Francisco, and Michigan Blockchain's Midwest Blockchain Conference! The energy and enthusiasm from this semester have been incredible! ?? Big thanks to all our speakers, collaborators, and members who made this semester a success. We can’t wait to see what’s in store next semester! ?? #blockchain #crypto #KU #web3 #innovation #kansas

We were honored to host our Uniswap Labs mentors Austin Adams and Samantha Deori-Mitra for week 3 of the Kansas Blockchain Fellowship! Austin (+ his cat!) joined us to give an overview of DeFi and the Uniswap protocol. Austin did a wonderful job defining terms and breaking down complex topics into accessible parts. In the second part of class, KBF Fellow Ellia Morse stepped up to introduce Samantha to the class, after interviewing her at the beginning of the summer. Samantha Deori-Mitra gave our Fellows an overview of the legal and regulatory landscape for blockchain. Thank you, Sam, for the educational and engaging lecture! Week 3 was a wonderful introduction to DeFi and Regulation, with a great sense of hope for the future of Web3. Thank you, Austin and Sam, for investing in blockchain education in the Midwest and representing The University of Kansas at Uniswap. We are proud of you and look forward to hosting you again soon! #kansasblockchain #uniswap #blockchaineducation
