BPL was thrilled to host KUAF 91.3 Public Radio's Community Coffee Tour last night. KUAF listeners as far away as Siloam Springs came and met the KUAF team. General manager Clint Schaff ? welcomed listeners and then led them in an engaging conversation about what they'd like to hear, or hear more of, on KUAF. Kyle Kellams shared some of his experiences in his 35 years of Ozarks at Large, including attending a concert in a water tower. The Listening Lab was set up in the back to capture unique stories from community members. And, of course, coffee provided by 211 Cafe was wonderful! But probably our favorite part was announcing the upcoming Ozarks at Large LIVE event which will be hosted by Bentonville Public Library, date to be set for this summer. Keep an eye on KUAF 91.3 Public Radio for more Community Coffee events, and watch there and on this account for news about Ozarks at Large LIVE!

????Listening to Election Day 2024 Yesterday, Arkansans headed to the polls, and Ozarks at Large’s Daniel Caruth was on the ground in Washington and Benton counties, capturing voices from local polling places. From the Bogle Center in Bentonville to the Springdale Civic Center and more, we heard from voters across Northwest Arkansas about what drove them to cast their ballots. We also joined community members at The Odd Soul bar in Springdale to watch the election results roll in. What issues brought you to the polls this election? ????Nonprofit Sleep in Heavenly Peace builds beds for kids without In Northwest Arkansas, many children lack access to a bed of their own. Local nonprofit Sleep in Heavenly Peace, co-led by Melanie McMurtry, is tackling this issue through “bed build” events that bring the community together to provide beds for children in need. Recently, Northwest Arkansas Community College hosted one of these events, covered by Ozarks at Large’s Kyle Kellams. ?? Are there other community efforts like this we don’t know about?
