Culture and teamwork means everything in today’s workplace! When enterering the construction industry over 30 years ago leadership ruled with an iron fist and you never knew what to expect if you were “called on the carpet”. I have experienced great leadership and not so good leadership in my career as I come upon my one year anniversary with KT Holden Construction which has been a blessing! I am not perfect and I am still learning everyday whether it be new technology, processes or even a mistake made along the way. I was surprised today when returning to the office and found a hand written card on my desk. It was from Kate that included a hand drawn D5K2 Dozer on the front. Loved it! A thank you note inside for something that I had done that I felt was part of my job description. This made my decade! It is humbling to be part of such a great organization with a fantastic culture that not only provides positive results for our leadership but also supports, develops and promotes rewarding challenges for its’ team. It has also pleased our Heavenly Father to favor as well our citizens in their homes as our soldiers in their camps and our sailors on the rivers and seas with unusual health. He has largely augmented our free population by emancipation and by immigration, while He has opened to us new sources of wealth and has crowned the labor of our workingmen in every department of industry with abundant rewards. Underground infrastructure: It's the unsung hero of construction.... Check out this underground junction chamber and arch our team just finished! 78" RCP pipe transitioning into a 90" cast in place arch. The arch was extended and finished with a set of wingwalls and rock channel protection. This new storm system carries stormwater run off from urban streets and outlets near the river.
