As we approach the end of the year, our focus has been on effectively utilizing the KT-Grants ATM 2 and ATM 5, an advanced acid tank machine, for the removal of acid brick in Chlorinator vessels. This machine is specifically designed for top entry into confined spaces, allowing for immediate refractory removal without the need for operator entry. This feature enhances safety by providing the highest degree of protection for personnel. By employing this technology, we significantly minimize the amount of heavy manual labor required in hazardous environments. The need for scaffolding is eliminated, further ensuring worker safety. Last week was a busy time in the aluminum sector! Here we are doing a total tear out on one furnace and partial digs for repairs on 4 melters and 2 holders. We completed this job safely and efficiently to keep the customer’s outage on track! #safety #aluminum #ktgrant #demolition
