  • KSU SMIF is delighted and proud that KSU SMIF Alumni (and Coles Scholar) Eli Hogan has been selected to the inaugural KSU 40 under 40 list. As a former CEO of KSU SMIF, Eli has been a very active alumni and has served on the SMIF Fixed Income Committee and served (serves) as the Industry Advisor for multiple award winning CFA Research Challenge Teams. In spite of his hectic work schedule, he is also a regular attendee at our firm wide pitches. Congrats Eli H. and thanks for being a great mentor and role model to our KSU SMIF community.

  • Heritage Preparatory School visits KSU SMIF We had the pleasure of hosting a large group of excited students from Heritage Preparatory School at KSU SMIF on the 28th of January. The students were visiting KSU under the auspices of Prof. Ben Scafidi. KSU SMIF leaders Matthew L. Brown, Kirsten Cowart, Max Hobbs and Matt Hammer spoke to the students about how we research companies and create an investment portfolio, their reasons for choosing KSU and how it has been more than validated and answered questions. As Prof. Scafidi put it "They (SMIF presenters) were serious, funny and interesting, all at the same time". They represented KSU very well as has come to be expected of them. The outstanding students from Heritage under the able guidance of their teachers, Michelle Bishop and Jason Thomas, give us great hope for the next generations of leaders. Thank you, Ben, Michelle and Jason.
