I am passionate about 4-H and now I use my skills as the county dog leader, certified dog judge, and continuing to make crafts. Since I was a senior in high school, I wanted to be a 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent. Now I can use my skills to give back to the organization that shaped into the person I am today. I get to help the next generation gain confidence and life skills through 4-H." University Distinguished Professor of Agronomy, Chuck Rice, recently co-authored a report commissioned by U.S. Farmers and Ranchers in Action. Not only does US agriculture have the ability to become greenhouse gas negative, but Kansas producers are in a “great position” to help that goal be realized. Today, K-State announced that Ernie Minton, Eldon Gideon dean of the College of Agriculture and director of K-State Research and Extension, will transition into a new role focusing on securing the funding needed for the Agriculture Innovation Initiative, beginning on July 1, 2025.
