One thing we make sure to never run out of in our office is trace paper! Hand sketching plays a vital role in our design process as architects and helps us put our visions to reality. Whether it is space planning, site planning, or sketching out different massing ideas, we put our creativity to test on paper. Sketching gives us the design freedom to explore various options for a project and help our clients visualize multiple possibilities early in the design phase.?? ?

KSQ Design is proud to continue our long-standing collaboration with the Kingston City School District (KCSD) in New York State. After successfully designing and completing the Kingston High School project in 2016, we’re advancing into new phases as part of the KCSD 2023 Bond development, bringing innovative upgrades across the district. ? ???Phase 1: Facade Enhancements at Edson Elementary & Bailey Middle School Phase 1 is focused on revitalizing the exterior facades of Harry L. Edson Elementary and J. Watson Bailey Middle School, creating welcoming, durable, and energy-efficient window-wall that will stand the test of time.?The work will also add air conditioning to all classrooms with the schools.?The construction work is scheduled to begin construction in the late spring of 2025. ???Phase 2: Interior Renovations for Edson and Bailey Phase 2 will bring inspiring interior transformations, including refreshed classrooms, modernized administrative areas, and a fully reimagined theater space for the Bailey Middle School. This enhanced theater will be a state-of-the-art venue for student performances, assemblies, and community events—designed to inspire creativity and pride. ???Phase 3: Expanding to George Washington, Chambers, and Edward R. Crosby Elementary Schools Our latest phase brings KSQ’s student-centered design philosophy to even more schools within the district, with plans underway for renovations at George Washington Elementary, Chambers Elementary, and Edward R. KSQ Design is celebrating Leslie's work anniversary! Leslie is a strong leader, Principal, team player, and overall amazing support system for the KSQ team. She does so much day-to-day to ensure our office runs as efficiently as possible, and is the first one to jump in and tackle a task to help everyone in the office succeed. Her positive attitude and witty humor always brings a sense of joy into the office. Thank you for the last 15 years of excellence and commitment to KSQ Design!

The new Media Arts Center at Oral Roberts University opened recently to welcome students back for the new school year! The 73,500 sq ft building houses a main theater, music performance center, black box theater, various recording studios, among other spaces for jazz and band practice. With state of the art electronics and individual music classrooms, students can put their creativity to work and focus on honing in their talents! Be sure to check out their upcoming show schedule!

Happy Halloween from the KSQ Team! We celebrated together through costume contests and pumpkin painting to show spirit between both New York and Tulsa offices. Our overall contest winner is Judd as Cousin Eddie from National Lampoons. Let’s just say our team works hard and looks awesome while doing it! Which costume is your favorite?

KSQ Design was at the New York State,?NYSSBA’s 2024 Annual Convention & Education Expo?this week! We loved meeting the leaders who serve New York’s children, our communities, and our future! It was a pleasure meeting many of the school board members, city district superintendents, staff, teachers and administrators to name a few. Armand and the team had the pleasure of seeing many of KSQ’s current clients including; Kingston City School District Nanuet Union Free School District Hendrick Hudson Central School?(kudo’s on the recent $30M bond!) Eldred Central School District (new turf field opened in time for homecoming this past Friday!) Rockland BOCES ?
