Today, Alterra Mountain Company announced the closing of the purchase of Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Colorado, expanding Alterra’s portfolio of unique, complementary destinations in the Rockies. “We are honored to become the stewards of Arapahoe Basin and we are excited to welcome the team to the Alterra Mountain Company family,” said Jared Smith, President & CEO, Alterra Mountain Company. “A-Basin is considered legendary for a reason and it will carry on as the unique and special place so many love.” There will be no changes to Arapahoe Basin local season passes or Ikon Pass winter access for the 24/25 ski season. The winter season kicks off at Alterra Mountain Company mountains this week. Winter Park Resort & Solitude Mountain Resort are the first Alterra Mountain Company destinations to open for Winter 24/25, on November 8. Winter Park Resort will begin skiing and riding on Parkway, Village Way, and Porcupine. On Friday, November 1st, Davidson Hospitality Group, a leading hospitality management company announced that it has entered into a new partnership with Nautic Partners LLC, a middle-market private equity firm. As part of this partnership, Nautic Partners will acquire Davidson Hospitality Group from an affiliate of KSL Capital Partners, LLC, in partnership with Davidson management.
