For those wondering about the XR Southern Summit at Southern Utah University. It will still be moving forward and the keynote speakers are amazing! I know the committee is accepting presenters, feel free to fill out the link below. The amazing Sijun Liu, Ph.D. and @jeffcowley will be leading it this year which I am incredibly grateful for. I have added photos from the past XR Southern Summit to give you a feel for it. The summit was thought of by Richard Cozzens and I in Fall of 2022. We thought it would be a great idea to bring together those within higher education who were working in XR and to learn from software and hardware developers in this field. We put on our first one in 2023 and then the second in 2024. I had worked for an event company in my past and those skills paid off. As some of you know planning a large scale conference is not for the faint of heart. It was with the help of an incredible team both years that made it a huge success and and I have no doubt this year will be just as successful. Thank you to the many who have participated in the past summits and have been incredibly supportive.
