Since the acquisition of Elster by Honeywell in 2015, the extended deliveries to get this high-quality product into North America from Germany have been tolerated but never accepted. The solution was to localize inventory in a strategic distribution hub. By stocking inventory in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, the Crossroads of America, KromAmericas' ability to meet delivery expectations will be immediately recognized. KromAmericas is an extension of Loy Instrument, Inc which was established in 1937 as a privately-owned organization serving the process control market.

No better office artwork than the products you sell everyday. KromAmericas made these diagrams of some of their components and posted them up around their awesome office space. Office decorations are usually seen as a waste of time. you don't make money decorating your own walls. But when the decorations are your products and your employees can see them and also show them to visitors to talk about the parts, it has a cool factor. I think it also shows just how much the company cares about what they do. They must be excited to help others solve problems, if they are excited enough to display artwork of "boring parts" on their walls. I am just a guy on the internet talking about boilers, burners, and training. I had some time between two events and reached out to KromAmericas that I was going to be in the area in a month and if they had some time for me to come by and see the operation. I expected a quick tour of the building and to learn a little about KromAmericas. Well that didn't happen. They rolled out the red carpet. Ken Bradway and Chris Gordon welcomed me into the building and showed me around their beautiful facility. They talked in depth about why KromAmericas was started and how they are innovating to serve their customers' needs. They showed me a unique process not very many gas train suppliers have: they pressure test every single valve assembly with their custom-built PLC pressure test station. It takes a picture of the valve assembly and also produces documentation of the pressure test. They look at Kromschroder part usage and sales and place proactive orders so they can make sure they have the part you need in their warehouse for shipping. They have over $6,000,000 of parts ready to ship from their Indiana warehouse. They can design NFPA compliant gas train assemblies and produce 3D models that you can incorporate into your project designs which can same you a ton of time and not have to worry about the details you may not be as familiar with. They have technical support people who have real equipment in front of them, so they can walk through issues you may have on the phone while seeing the part themselves. This helps a lot when you may be newer and do not know all of the correct terminology of the parts and what you are seeing. I ended up spending over four hours at the facility, which was so generous of them. I don't spend thousands of dollars buying parts from them, so they had no obligation to do this. I am just a guy on the internet who is passionate about boilers, burners, and training people up with new skills. My experience with KromAmericas was top notch.
