Let your soul take the wheel. Retreat and Renewal is our self-guided retreat experience— a day full of options for rest, self care, and spiritual renewal that you can move through at your own pace, in a process that may be as healing as the workshops themselves. How often do you get to move without a schedule, listening deeply to what you really need in each moment, paying attention to yourself with the delicacy we often only offer to others. How about some lunch on the lawn? A quiet moment staring out the window with some tulsi tea? Maybe a nap and then the workshop on honing your intuition. Retreat and Renewal is designed to make space for you to be with yourself, in whatever way feels right. Learn more and plan a day of presence with yourself: https://bit.ly/3B67tJ6

Lasagna is a complete sentence. Recipe Thursday: Yummy Butternut Squash Lasagna! If by some chance, you haven’t tasted lasagna, let us describe this delight. The tenderness of the pasta, hugged by creamy layers of béchamel sauce and mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, entering your mouth like an embrace. Should this seem too decadent, notice now the butternut squash, bringing a hearty and grounding warmth to each bite. And delicately, swirling through your senses as you chew, a hint of cinnamon, thyme and fennel, a reminder that this is our signature Kripalu Lasagne, a missive of love from sent our kitchen to your interior. https://bit.ly/3kgDWz1

How to drink a tree. Recipe Tuesday: Hydrating and Refreshing Turmeric Switchel! If you’re looking for a natural, healthy, electrolyte-rich beverage to quench your thirst, this recipe is for you. With roots in New England and the Caribbean going back to the 1700’s, switchel— also called “Haymaker’s Punch”— takes advantage of the power of maple syrup and apple cider vinegar. The apple cider vinegar balances the body’s pH levels, the ginger improves digestion and immunity, and these ingredients mixed with salt and maple syrup naturally replenish electrolytes. And with turmeric’s ability to prevent anything from the common cold to cancer we added a little just to take this recipe over the top! https://bit.ly/4erMvmz

What can we learn from the end of summer? Today we share a resource from longtime Kripalu faculty member Aruni Nan Futuronsky on the wisdom to be found in opening our hearts to the transition into the cooler, darker half of the year. Says Aruni, “I’ve been practicing seeing Labor Day as a marker of positivity, an opportunity to let go of summer’s more frivolous, external focus, as I begin preparing for the internal focus of the inevitable winter… We’ve been given autumn, a time of potentially mindful transition, to utilize and to allow our bodies and our intentions to gradually shift, like the turning of the earth and the shifting of the seasons.” If you’d like to soak up even more wisdom from Aruni, join her for the upcoming Inner Quest Intensive Sept 26-29 or her Grief, Loss and Renewal retreat coming up December 6-8. And read the full resource and soak up more wisdom from Aruni here: https://bit.ly/2Vky1St

Is chocolate magic? Recipe Tuesday: Yummy Vegan Chocolate Brownies! It’s a hard thing to determine for certain, but chocolate really might be the flavor of love. Made with pumpkin puree, oat and whole spelt flour, and sunflower oil, these little plant-based treats are not only delicious but bring an extra bit of healthy to the mix. Bake up a batch to celebrate the end of summer, the starting of school, or the joy of just being alive! https://bit.ly/4dEBqOG
