At Kreg, our employees are the heart of everything we do, which is why it was so important to celebrate them during Employee Appreciation Day! This year, we showed our appreciation for all the hard work, dedication, and passion our employees bring every day by providing donuts and gourmet coffee from the super cute Freedom Blend Coffee Truck (thanks Freedom for Youth Ministries)! We’re grateful for our incredible team and everything they do to make Kreg a great place to work!?

At Kreg, we’re passionate about inspiring the next generation of builders and supporting skilled trades education. Last week, we welcomed SkillsUSA students from South Hamilton High School in Iowa to our headquarters. Led by their Industrial Tech teacher, the students explored a variety of career paths, including woodworking, manufacturing, engineering, and marketing. Their visit provided a firsthand look at how a company like Kreg operates and what we seek in future employees. During their tour, students engaged with team members across different departments, gaining insights into CAD design, 3D printing, product testing, marketing, distribution, and packaging. From learning how prototypes are developed to seeing how our products are prepared for shipment, the hands-on experience helped bridge the gap between their classroom skills and real-world applications. We were honored to host this group and hope their visit inspired them to pursue careers in skilled trades, engineering, and manufacturing.?

Several members of our Employee Ownership Committee hit the road to Omaha this week to attend the Iowa/Nebraska Chapter of The ESOP Association's Winter Conference. They spent the day gaining new insights, exchanging ideas, and connecting with fellow employee-owners from companies across the chapter. We’re excited to see some of the new ideas they brought back come to life and further strengthen our ownership culture!?

Kreg team members came together yesterday as we hosted our annual “Souper” Bowl contest! We had a total of 18 entries spanning our two locations. Employees turned up the heat on the competition with a variety of soups from chicken noodle and sausage tortellini to broccoli cheddar gnocchi?and even a courageous carrot, plus several chilis. Congrats to the soup-savvy winners and a big bowl of appreciation to all who participated!

Congratulations to Rochelle Sandvick, Logistics Coordinator, for being selected as Kreg’s most recent Values in Action Award winner! This award recognizes the best of how Kreg employees demonstrate our values by how they work with others, including cross-functional counterparts, direct reports, external partners, and customers. Rochelle was nominated by Mary Gascho for the following: “When Kreg encountered shipping issues with a new vendor on the first day of using them, Rochelle jumped into action to ensure everything was back on track in no time. We love welcoming outside groups to Kreg and sharing what our organization is all about! This week, participants from Freedom Construction Services came onsite. Freedom Construction Services is a paid employment training program of Freedom for Youth Ministries that teaches basic trades, and essential employment and critical life skills within a construction services environment. In addition to receiving a tour of our global headquarters, these individuals received helpful information on our hiring practices and what opportunities are available at Kreg.
