A grant from CMA Foundation provided drum circle sessions for every fifth and sixth-grade student in the Canon-McMillan School District. Deanna Grandstaff, band director at Cecil Intermediate School, is the first from Pennsylvania to receive the Music Teachers of Excellence Award. We enjoyed working with WPXI-TV to share the story of this educational drum circle program as part of their “Breaking the Stigma” segment! https://lnkd.in/eTAjr_3Q
