It’s been a couple of years since I hit LI connections limit. It’s become kind of a pain. I had to develop a bit of a grooming methodology. 1. If we know each other (ie have each others cell phone numbers and emails) , but I never “see” you engaging with LI or my LI posts. I am disconnecting. (Sorry fam. You know where I live, no need to be on LI together). 2. Former employees (I have thousands). Unless you are engaging on me with LI or we are actively working on something together. Gotta disconnect. 3. Portco Founders. Will stay connected, but your employees that I don’t actually know or engage on LI may be disconnected. 4. Mastermind Group Current Members. Will stay connected. 5.LPs. It depends. A lot of you haven’t logged into LI for over a decade. You have my cell phone. I’m only sharing this because I have received a few notes, asking WTF. So thought it would be best to post out here. With LI limits. I really want to engage in this platform with people that are engaged in the platform. Back in the day, Expedia had a simple strategy. They sold their software to help travel agents work closely with their customers that wanted an internet experience to book travel. It made the travel agents’ job so easy. Consumers loved the powered by Expedia on their iteniary, since they knew that there was no way that their travel agents “knew the internet”. They were driving more revenue, and not working hard. Then one day they woke up and Expedia launched a consumer direct model. Consumers already knew the brand, had been seeing it all along. Well, the rest is history. Consumers got an internet first experience and a really good price. Expedia ended up buying some agencies for a penny to be their customer support (if you needed to talk to somone). Why does this matter to the #architecture #engineering and #construction industry?
