Originally from New Jersey, Martin has spent an incredible 44 years in the A/E/C industry, starting his career in the marketing department at United States Testing Company in Hoboken. His goal is to help Koury become the leading engineering testing and inspection consulting firm in Southern California! Outside of work, Martin loves going to estate sales, concerts, sporting events, and spending time with his granddaughter. Martin is passionate about mentoring and guiding young staff members to reach their full potential, as well as helping clients meet their quality needs. We’re excited to see the positive impact he will make here at Koury! ?? ??

Koury Engineering and Testing, Inc. (Koury) has been providing construction inspection and testing services since 1992, under the leadership of Dave Menefee, Sr. Vice President/COO, and Michele Shams, Chief Executive Officer/CEO. Koury operates three full-service laboratories. Our main lab and headquarters are located in Chino, CA with satellite offices located in Gardena and San Diego, CA. We are licensed and approved as a geotechnical and construction materials testing agency. Koury has a team of Registered Civil and Geotechnical Engineers on staff. We currently have 100+ inspectors and technicians in the field daily. Our office support staff consists of the necessary laboratory and clerical personnel to perform tests and inspections accurately and quickly. Koury has or is able to acquire certifications and approvals from multiple agencies including: Agency Certifications and Approvals AASHTO - American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials AMRL - AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory ACI - American Concrete Institute ACE - Army Corps of Engineers Caltrans - California Department of Transportation CCRL - Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory DSA (LEA No. 146) - Division of the State Architect of California ICC - International Code Council MTA - Metropolitan Transit Authority NICET - National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies OSHPD - Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development City of Los Angeles County of Los Angeles County of San Diego
