Congratulations to Mendocino, named Wine Enthusiast's American Wine Region of the Year and celebrated as California's greenest AVA! This northern, untamed wine region, centered around the town of Boonville, features steep hillsides, rocky terrain, and exposures that challenge vines to thrive. Anderson Valley, home to our Cerise Vineyard, holds a special place in our hearts, and we're grateful to steward its beautifully rugged landscape.

We're proud to see some of our esteemed vineyard partners—Gap's Crown Vineyard, Garys' Vineyard, and John Sebastiano Vineyard—featured in Food and Wine's recent article, "For Outstanding California Wine, Look for Bottles Made With Grapes Grown on These 16 Vineyards: Knowing the Names of Top Vineyards Is the Ultimate Bottle Buying Hack," by Jonathan Cristaldi and Ray Isle. Since our founding over twenty-five years ago, our mission has been to produce the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines that stand among the best in the world. At the heart of our success is not only a meticulous approach to grape growing and cellar practices but also the strong relationships we've built with our growers. Their expertise and commitment to quality are integral to creating wines that truly express a sense of place, which has been essential to our core values since the beginning.

Thank you, Alder Yarrow, for featuring our 2021 Kosta Browne Anderson Valley Pinot Noir and 2021 Kosta Browne Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Cerise Vineyard in the recent article, “Anderson Valley Pinots Soar: Is This Hidden Region the Best Location for Pinot Noir in California? on JancisRobinson.com. "Opening to the Pacific Ocean at its north-west end as the Navarro River draws chilly ocean air inland through the redwoods, Anderson Valley’s climate ranges from downright frigid in the west to moderately cool at its easternmost end. Its combination of alluvial and fractured sedimentary soils and hillside exposures (often surrounded by trees), in conjunction with the climate, have resulted in one of the best locations for growing Pinot Noir in California." - Alder Yarrow, Jancis Robinson. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our inaugural Gather at KB Harvest event! Guests enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of our winery, with hands-on winemaking experiences followed by a four-course culinary journey. The afternoon featured caviar paired with our 2020 Keefer Ranch Blanc de Blancs and a meal accompanied by library and large-format wines from our cellar. As a special keepsake, every member left with one of our annual harvest t-shirts. This is just the beginning—we can’t wait to share the excitement of the 2024 vintage with all of you!

Our 2022 Burgundy Series Offering ends today, Thursday, October 3, at 11:59 PM (PT). It’s been ten years since we first dreamed of crafting wines in Burgundy and four years since that dream became a reality. This journey has been nothing short of remarkable. In many respects, it feels like a return to our beginnings in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast—when we were newcomers, establishing relationships, earning trust, and building a community of wine enthusiasts like you, who have been with us every step of the way. As our partnerships in Burgundy have deepened, so has our access to some of the most exceptional vineyards, including Premier Cru properties in Beaune and Chablis. The quality of these vineyards is unmistakable in our 2022 Burgundy Series. This vintage stands out as one of Burgundy’s finest—already being compared to the great vintages of 1949, 1954, and 1990. Its energy and freshness are truly something to experience. We believe these are our finest Burgundy wines yet, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
