KIESA holds a preparatory meeting with the businesses that will participate in the Albanian gastronomy fair that will be held in Berlin The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET), respectively Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), held today a preparatory meeting with the businesses that will participate in the Albanian gastronomy fair "Global Albanian Gastronomy Festival", which will be held in Berlin, Germany from 2-3 October 2024. During the meeting, it was discussed about the exhibition space that Kosovo has in this fair, in which 51 Kosovar businesses will present. Among other things, it is talked about the preparatory procedures of businesses, about the products that will be exhibited, as well as about other procedures for the best presentation of businesses at this fair. MIET/KIESA covers the costs of the exhibition space on an area of 500m2 for the participation of 51 local businesses, while the construction of the standard stand for these businesses will be covered by the USAID project " Compete Activity ". Companies from Kosovo are promoting their products in Greece Seven companies from Kosovo are promoting their prefabricated products at the international fair "Thessaloniki International Fair”, which is being held in Thessaloniki, Greece, from September 7 to 15, 2024. The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET), through the Kosovo Investments and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), has provided an exhibition space of 194 m2 for Kosovar companies to present (exhibit) their products alongside other participating countries at the fair. Many participants at the fair have expressed interest in learning more about the products offered by our companies. Meanwhile, Kosovar companies will have the opportunity to meet potential buyers, investors, and partners from Europe and beyond during the fair. The exhibition space where Kosovo companies are promoting their products was also visited by USAID Director for Kosovo, Mary Eileen Devitt Sworn. During the meeting with the companies and KIESA representatives, she expressed appreciation for the significance of our companies’ participation in the fair, and the support provided KIESA to companies in these sectors. The Kosovo-Greece Economic Forum brings new economic cooperation! Today, in Pristina, the Kosovo-Greece 2024 Economic Forum took place, organized by the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), in cooperation with the Greek counterpart agency, Enterprise Greece. Participants in this forum were high institutional representatives and from the business community of both countries, proving a promising perspective for economic cooperation between Kosovo and Greece. In the introductory speech, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari welcomed the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr. Kostas Fragogiannis, who was accompanied by a delegation of 15 Greek businesses and the directors of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the General Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thessaloniki (TCCI) and the Association of Greek Exporters (SEVE). Minister Hajdari emphasized that Kosovo has made great progress in democratic development and building a stable economy, driven by innovation, entrepreneurship and strong commitment to the integration of products in the global market. This forum represents a joint commitment to progress, stability and economic prosperity between the two countries, where 50 Kosovar businesses participated, selected through a public call by KIESA. During the forum, cooperation memoranda were signed between the economic chambers of Kosovo and Greece, and fruitful B2B meetings were held between the businesses of both countries in sectors such as: wood processing, metals, food, renewable energy, information and communication technology, tourism and pharmacy. The Greek delegation, led by KIESA, visited the Industrial Park in Drenas and Lipjan, seeing closely the potential of the industrial areas of Kosovo. Minister Hajdari opens the three-day fair "Women in Business", which promotes the empowerment of women entrepreneurs The Minister emphasized the importance of diversity and innovation that women bring to the market, as well as the great benefits for the well-being of our families and communities. She mentioned the concrete initiatives of the ministry to support women in business, through grants, training and certifications. On this occasion, Minister Hajdari announced that the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET), through the Kosovo Investments and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), has opened a grant scheme for handicrafts, which is available to all micro and small-sized enterprises. The Minister emphasized that the purpose of this scheme is the creation, development and further strengthening of handicrafts, including the promotion, protection, preservation and transmission of traditional handicrafts, adding that the deadline for application is August 1, 2024. The fair will be open until July 20, 2024, in George Bush Square, where 40 businesses will promote their products and services.
