Thank you so much to Katie Malone for such a beautiful writeup on Korion Health's mission and how the Pittsburgh community paved the way for our success, leading to us being the only US team to make it to the Hult Prize Foundation finals. Special thanks to our close partner HELLBENDER Inc. without whose generosity and belief in our mission we would never have gotten off the ground. Definitely check them out if you need electrical engineering help and want to work with a badass, dynamic, as well as humanistic team. It has been the honor of my life to be mentored by them and have them by my side on this journey. At the 2024 Hult Prize Foundation Global Finals in London, six finalists pitched business solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues. The winning team was announced by actress, entrepreneur, and activist, Maisie Williams!? ? Last Friday we had the honour of attending the Hult Prize Finals in London. In spite of the hundreds of thousands of students from all over the world who take part in this $1m competition, I previously knew very little about it. Over the course of the year, Hult Campus Leaders organise events to whittle down huge numbers of student participants as they pitch ‘for-profit, for-good’ initiatives linked to at least one and SDG and concerning a cause that they care deeply about. Six remaining teams pitch their initiatives on the evening of the finals, before one team is awarded their well-earned $1m. Each of the pitches on Friday was exceptional and the atmosphere was electric. It was phenomenal to see how committed and determined these young people were as they pitched initiatives ranging from water purification to speech therapy to biochar. Korion Health took home first prize for their efforts towards at-home, DIY heart and lung screening. Huge thanks to Ming Chen for inviting Esther Cheng and I to the finals. Congratulations to Lori van Dam and the Hult team for an enormously inspiring event; you are doing fabulous work! ??

Grateful to have been invited to represent Brunel University London at the Global Finals of the Hult Prize 2024! ?? It was truly inspiring to witness the top 6 teams, who competed against 100,000 students from over 10,000 teams, deliver their final pitches in London for the grand prize of $1 million. ?? The energy and passion these innovators brought to solving some of the world’s most pressing issues through their social enterprises were remarkable. Congratulations to all the finalists (and the winner Korion Health!) who have already built such visionary and impactful businesses. Wishing them the very best for the future! ?? I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to connect with these brilliant minds, as well as with social entrepreneurs, business leaders, and celebrities. I've returned home more inspired and enriched, eager to contribute towards a better world! ????
