From the classic Rider Jacket to the famous MA-1 bomber jacket, Lee and Alpha Industries share a long and storied history of crafting garments for the U.S. military. Now, the two legendary brands have teamed up for a new global collaboration celebrating their joint heritage of workwear apparel and iconic American style. The eight-piece military-inspired capsule features the latest iteration of Alpha’s classic MA-1 Bomber Jacket, as well as a reversible Lee Rider Jacket, with one side denim and the reverse a sleek olive-green nylon flight jacket. The launch party for the collaboration was held last week at Alpha Industries’ NYC store, bringing together influencers, media editors, fashion-lovers and tastemakers for an exclusive preview. The Kontoor Brands Foundation is proud to support the community outreach, personal growth, and educational leadership programs of the?North Carolina Independent Colleges & Universities (NCICU). ? Through a 2024 grant, the Foundation is specifically supporting NCICU’s iBelong Mentoring Program, with a focus on the Greensboro College "Lion Walkers" initiative. Lion Walkers is an intentional campus community designed to foster brotherhood while promoting both professional and personal development. Across North Carolina, 12 universities participate in the iBelong Mentoring Program, empowering students to build meaningful connections and grow as leaders. ? We recently caught up with some the students in Lion Walkers, one of the two NCICU mentoring programs that the Kontoor Brands Foundation is supporting, to talk to them about the impact it is having on their lives and development. Kontoor’s team in the Yucatán this week went to colorful lengths to celebrate Día de Los Muertos, the annual Mexican holiday to honor to the spirits of deceased relatives. This year’s celebration featured elaborate costumes and homemade altars — known as "ofrendas"— to honor the souls of departed loved ones.

Following Kontoor Brands’ strong Q3 2024 earnings report on Thursday, President and CEO Scott Baxter spoke with both CNBC?and Bloomberg to discuss the company’s continued growth trajectory and credit his team for Kontoor’s continued success.? ? “We’ve raised the talent level in our organization over the last couple of years pretty significantly,” Baxter told Jon Fortt, of CNBC’s The Exchange. “We’re building fantastic product out of our design teams and it’s resonating with the consumer.” ? Baxter stressed that a global team effort and a healthy balance between wholesale, digital and direct-to-consumer distribution channels has led to continued growth and consistent gains in market share. ? “We like where we’re going,” Baxter said. “We’ve been slowly building our digital and our DTC globally, and we think we’ve been building it at the appropriate pace.”

Today, Kontoor Brands announced its 2024 Q3 results. “We are raising our full year outlook driven by better-than-expected third quarter results, stronger profitability and cash generation,” said Scott Baxter, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chair of Kontoor Brands. “Our business is positioned to strengthen in the fourth quarter, as evidenced by accelerating revenue growth, gross margin expansion, stronger operating earnings growth and further reductions in inventory. Last week, Kontoor Brands President, CEO and Chairman of the Board Scott Baxter inaugurated Kontoor’s Hall of Fame with the induction of former VF Corporation Chairman and CEO, Mackey J. McDonald, who was recognized for his impactful leadership with the company and the greater Greensboro community. McDonald had a distinguished career with VF Corporation that spanned more than 25 years, including 11 years as CEO and 10 years as Chairman of the Board. One of McDonald’s notable achievements was relocating the organization’s global headquarters to Greensboro, North Carolina, in 1998. McDonald was joined by family, friends, and former coworkers for a hall of fame induction ceremony at Kontoor’s Hometown Studio in downtown Greensboro.
