Our 2024 Annual Report has been published ??? KONGSBERG delivered a solid increase in both operating revenues and profitability, achieving an order intake of nearly NOK 90 billion in 2024. This positions the Group to enter 2025 with an order backlog of NOK 128 billion, which is 44 per cent higher than it was one year ago. The world is facing key challenges related to climate and security, and the geopolitical situation is constantly changing. KONGSBERG is well-positioned to address many of these challenges. A major milestone for KONGSBERG in space technology! This weekend, the ARVAKER 1 N3X satellite successfully launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, as part of SpaceX’s Transporter 13 mission. This marks a historic step for KONGSBERG—not only as a long-standing technology provider to the space industry, but now also as an owner and operator of satellites. "This successful launch marks a milestone for us, as we will own and operate the satellites for the first time,” said Eirik Lie, President of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. KONGSBERG’s strength lies in our ability to cover the entire value chain—delivering micro satellites, ground stations, advanced data processing, and analytics. This launch is part of a broader contract awarded by the Norwegian Armed Forces on behalf of the Norwegian government, supporting maritime surveillance efforts across Norway’s Areas of Interest. Over the next five years, three satellites will be launched to provide crucial data to the Norwegian Armed Forces and other government institutions including the Coastal Administration, Directorate of Fisheries, and Norwegian Customs.
