Had a fun Saturday attending AGI House Open Source Agent Hackathon. I worked with Ana Robakidze and Ben Zimmerman to build an API governance agent powered by Komodo AI (GitHub link in comments) to tackle API security and compliance problems. 8 months ago, I quit my job, gave up my work visa, and had no idea what I wanted to do next. Over this past weekend, I got my O-1 visa approved and have been given the incredible opportunity to build a (recently venture-backed) startup in the US ??. So grateful to have gotten to this point, and can't wait for what's next!

Not a lot of people realize how easy it is to fine-tune LLMs these days - tools like torchtune make it so simple. I fine-tuned LLama3.1-8B on a custom dataset last week, it took me less than an hour, and costed me less than $25 of compute time. And I was able to serve it on a GPU that cost less than $1 per hour. Using these types of tools on Komodo AI means you can deploy serverless fine-tuning jobs and serve scalable models without ever having to worry about provisioning GPUs.
