?? On July 19th, IU Innovates attended the showcase event of two of our community members, Griffin Lee & Sebastian Penix, and their startup Kollektive. ?? At the event, members of the community joined together to celebrate Bloomington's film community, both inside and outside of the university. It was great to hear from local filmmaker charles r pearce, and student filmmakers Max Peeples and Sumeyye Akgun ?? Congrats Griffin and Sebastian on an incredibly well thought out event and 11-star experience!

Last Friday, alongside Griffin Lee, I had the pleasure of hosting the first-ever Kollektive event—a red carpet showcase celebrating both the film and entrepreneurship communities in Bloomington. It was a memorable experience to bring together many individuals who have supported Kollektive for an evening of celebration. Some personal highlights of the event included: - Watching our guests work the red carpet during their photo-ops. - Seeing people get into character based on their selected movie roles. - Speaking to a crowd filled with film talent, other founders, mentors, friends, and family. - Listening to Thomas DeCarlo, charles r pearce, Maximus Peeples, and Sumeyye Akgun share their own thoughts and stories. A special thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event. The Kollektive community has grown to include so many amazing individuals. This event was a significant milestone for Kollektive, and we’re excited to carry this momentum forward. ?? ?? ??
