It’s not just for fun (though we do like a good weather update like today's!) If you’ve followed us for any length of time, you’ve heard us preach—probably more times than you can count—about how wood reacts to humidity. It expands when moisture levels rise and contracts when they drop. That’s why we take moisture control seriously. Before our finished products leave the warehouse, we ensure they’re at the right moisture content for a smooth, successful install. On a day like today, when the humidity is low, our overhead doors stay open to let the fresh air in. When the humidity spikes, those doors stay shut. By controlling moisture exposure in our warehouse, we help ensure the millwork remains stable and performs as expected on the job site.
