Great news - our fertiliser SustaiN, which contains a urease inhibitor that significantly reduces the amount of ammonia released to the air, has now been registered by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and is the first fertiliser in New Zealand to achieve this status.?????? ??? SustaiN is recognised in the national greenhouse gas inventory as a nitrous oxide mitigation and reduction technology and was one of the first inhibitor fertilisers available in New Zealand when it launched in 2005. Twenty years on, and it’s now one of the most used fertilisers in the country and a way for farmers and growers to help mitigate environmental impacts of nitrogen loss.?Farm trials have shown using SustaiN can reduce ammonia loss via volatilisation by fifty per cent, as well as increase pasture or crop yield.??
