This past Tuesday evening, KNX News 97.1 FM hosted Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’s first broadcast town hall. As she prepares to make one of her biggest decisions - who will lead the LAPD - Mayor Bass took questions about public safety from Angelenos representing neighborhoods across the city. In one of the highlights, she pledged to make fixing the city’s 311 system a priority after an attendee said he had trouble getting through, and a live on-air attempt revealed the call center shuts down at 7pm. We’re proud that officials like Mayor Bass see KNX News as a way to reach a broad, diverse audience, and we are even prouder to hold them accountable with tough questions on the issues that matter.
