Chris Arnold, CFP? Awesome to hear Knudge is helping your clients take action on your advice and recommendations.
As a financial advisor, one of the biggest challenges of my job is ensuring clients implement the advice & recommendations that I believe are in their best interest. It has been a journey (and I still haven't mastered this!), but a few strategies that have proven effective in fostering trust and ensuring clients act on my guidance: ?? Provide Context and Education: I take the time to explain the "why" behind my recommendations. Educating clients about the reasoning and potential outcomes motivates them to take action. Also, using visuals is an effective way to help breakdown more complex planning strategies. ?? ?? Accountability and Support: Serving as an accountability partner for clients is one of my key responsibilities & systematically sending them “gentle reminders" has proven to be an effective method for taking the recommended actions. Additionally, utilizing tools like Knudge which enable me to track the progress of recommended action items & identify where bottlenecks arise within the implementation process has been a game-changer. ?? Leverage Technology: As an advisor that primarily serves the startup community, I’ve had the unique opportunity to discover many new tools & software solutions that enhance the client experience and create efficiencies for advisors. With burgeoning AI tools across the financial advisory landscape, I believe it’s so important for advisors to embrace this technology within their practice, while still carefully vetting these tools for privacy & security requirements. For example, Zocks is a powerful AI tool that structures the data from client conversations with clear, actionable items for me to use when creating back-office tasks, which enables me to spend more time with clients & running the business operations. Technology that can improve?customer satisfaction and enhance advisor productivity is going to be a game-changer for RIAs going forward. Advisors in my network - Would love to hear any tools or strategies that you have found effective in your practice!
