Howdy Everyone! ?? Ms. Hayle Krigel Barbato, Director of Guest Experiences for the Houston Texans, served as a guest speaker for two of Dr. LaSota’s sport leadership courses last Friday. This was a phenomenal experience for our students as they learned about the often unpredictable path in professional sports, how to stand out as a job candidate, and best practices in leadership. Some students from the PATHS program stopped by to share in the experience as well. It is opportunities like these provided by our faculty that allow our department to flourish. We not only want to thank Ms. Krigel Barbato for making the effort to drive up from Houston and speak with our students, but also Dr. Mark LaSota for providing this incredible opportunity. ?? #SportLeadership #GuestSpeaker #HoustonTexans #SportsBusiness #CareerDevelopment #Leadership #SportManagement #AggieImpact #Networking #FutureLeaders #ExperientialLearning #12thMan #GigEm #TAMU #KNSM

?? Wrapping up Aggieland Saturday with a look into our Athletic Training program!?? Athletic Training is a crucial part of sport medicine and athlete care, and Texas A&M offers top-tier resources to help students excel. As part of the Kinesiology track, our program offers two pathways. ???♂??? 1. Two-Year Program (Traditional 4+2): Designed for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree, this path leads to a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT). 2. Five-Year Dual Degree (3+2): Incoming freshmen can earn both a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and an MSAT in just five years. Students begin graduate coursework in their fourth year, integrating advanced studies seamlessly into their undergraduate education.???? We ended our presentation with a tour of our athletic training facilities in Kyle Field, where students gain real-world experience in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center. The facility features hydrotherapy pools, advanced recovery equipment, and clinical spaces where students learn alongside professionals working with elite athletes.??? Aggieland Saturday was a huge success, and we loved showcasing everything our Kinesiology and Sport Management program has to offer! Another huge thank you to our students, faculty, and staff who made this weekend possible. We look forward to welcoming future Aggies who will bring their passion and dedication to our community, helping us continue to be a leader in sport and movement sciences. #AggielandSaturday #TAMU #KNSM #AthleticTraining #KyleField #SportScience #GigEm #Kinesiology #FutureAggies #Science #Innovation #Health #AggieExperience #STEM
