A profound experience of unity in the body of Christ Yenet hosts a three-day student leadership conference. Milton shares: “Recently, Yenet hosted a life-changing three-day conference at Pagirinya Refugee Settlement that brought together over 50 born-again youth aged 16-21 from 10 local churches across 8 denominations, along with 5 church leaders. This conference was more than just an event—it was a profound experience of unity in the body of Christ. We were intentional in selecting participants, ensuring representation from all the tribes and denominations in the refugee settlement. It was truly inspiring to see young people from different backgrounds connecting, learning, praying and growing together. They didn’t just attend a conference; they built lasting bonds—eating, playing, and sharing in group conversations, all while deepening their love for Christ and each other." Known launched in 2022 out of a desire to equip local leaders who grow healthy, multiplying churches. We believe God has already made Himself known. So rather than initiating ministries in communities across the globe, we accept God’s invitation to join Him where He’s already moving — from our neighborhoods to the ends of the earth. Vision : To see the Church united under one name — Jesus. Mission : We exist to connect churches who are pursuing God’s design for the Church to live on mission.

Multiplying Rapidly The EOM network extends to include other churches. Taban shares about our recent visit and partnership in gospel outreach with Ever On Mission. He also shares a little about the growth of the ministry and future plans: “Our recent mission activity continued with the goal of strengthening Providence Baptist Church and the four other Evangelical churches in Busia. Ever On Mission (EOM) extended the network to other churches in Busia because they also felt the need to work together in the Mission of God." Standing Strong. We are standing strong in our faith. Global partner, Shadrach* shares how the gospel continues to advance amid some recent persecution. “There is much happening here. We have been receiving discouragement from a few local Muslims who are seeking to intimidate us. At night people throw stones at my house. They broke down the fence at our home. My family is scared, especially the children. I attempted to report these things to the police, but they are not acting. So, we pray. God is faithful in all. Amazing progress. Access to the Word of God is radically changing communities. Paul* of Ecclesia Ministries shares an update following a recent trip to share the gospel and encourage leaders: “It has been three months since I came back from JM* after distributing 3,000 copies of the Bible and many other evangelical materials including SD cards that contain the Jesus Film, biblical stories and teachings, messengers, radios, and projectors. All these materials and the great efforts that leaders on the ground are making have had a great impact as we hear stories and testimonies.” Read the rest of the stories here: https://lnkd.in/gkkeZW5A

Leading Well Milton continues leadership training with students from the secondary school. Milton shares: “What a wonderful evening with 30+ student leaders from Pagirinya Secondary School! Our ongoing series on Leading Well centered on the importance of serving others first. Through reflective discussions, the students opened up about their experiences and recognized areas for growth. By reinforcing the value of selflessness, we’re laying the groundwork for transformative leadership that prioritizes the needs of those we lead. We’re excited to see these emerging leaders make a powerful impact in their spheres of influence!” Find more pictures and quotes here: https://lnkd.in/ghpMkP2A

Student Leaders After our short-term team shared in a few of the schools in the Pagirinya Refugee Settlement, Milton followed up with students from the secondary school. Milton shares: “I spent an engaging hour with over 40 newly elected student leaders from Pagirinya Secondary School. We discussed leadership with a focus on character development. I’ll meet with them twice a month for the next six months to provide mentorship, discipleship, and career guidance. Our goal is to help them grow into servant leaders who will one day return to South Sudan and contribute to rebuilding their country.” Find pictures and more here: https://lnkd.in/g2SBSu_J

Together we are Ever on Mission. After finishing our time with Yenet In Pagirinya Refugee Settlement, we transitioned to Busia, outside Koboko, to work with another Known partner, Ever on Mission (EOM). EOM’s vision is to advance the gospel, develop leaders, and plant a network of mission-minded churches in Uganda, South Sudan, and DR Congo. Busia is emerging as a hub for training and deployment. EOM recently has been working to extend its network to other churches that also see the need to work together on mission. During our time with EOM, we helped share the gospel in the community, joined them in worship and teaching on Sunday, and helped train leaders of the network churches. Shortly after we arrived and greeted everyone at the church, we split up into small groups to share the gospel with those in the community. Each experience was different. Some went to the town center and encountered large groups of people. Others had long discussions answering questions on faith like what to do when your spouse is not a Christ follower. While each group’s circumstances varied, we were all faithful to share the truth of the gospel. We continue to pray God uses seeds planted to draw people to Himself. We are partnering with Yenet to bring hope. When we can, we bring a short-term team alongside our global partners to help them further their mission. Recently, we traveled to Pagirinya Refugee Settlement to partner with Yenet in hosting women’s workshops, and pastor’s gatherings, visited local schools to open doors for future ministry, and worked with students through Yenet’s sports ministry. Every day, the women met to encourage and challenge one another. Some topics addressed were: praying when it is hard, multi-generational discipleship, faith in difficult times, and daily living out your faith. In addition to our team, about 45 women attended the workshops, and 6 professed faith in Jesus throughout the 4 days. We were able to encourage 15 pastors and church leaders who minister throughout the Settlement. Much of our time was spent creating a space for them to tell their stories (many who shared for the first time in this group). This was the first time they gathered as a group of pastors hosted in each other’s homes. Men and women, both experienced and just starting out, were together spurring one another on. “I thought I was the only one who experienced that!” was often heard during our gatherings. They voiced that they wanted to commit to meeting regularly to continue encouraging each other. Find the rest of the story and more pictures here: https://lnkd.in/eTk-KURs

Investing in the Next Generation Investing in the youth of the church. Young people outnumber adults in many of David Lual’s churches. He shares the importance of investing in this upcoming generation. “This week, I organized a youth conference that lasted for half a day. We started at 2 pm and concluded at 7 pm. In my teaching, I focused on the idea of being set apart; drawing inspiration from 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10. I emphasized how the Thessalonians turned away from idol worship and embraced a relationship with the living God." Find the rest of the story here: https://lnkd.in/g4Bu6wgB

A Journey of Encouragement Encouraging churches in the network. David Lual with Community Network Ministries (CNM) shares a little about his visitation to several network churches: “I embarked on a trip to visit several of our sister churches. My first stop was Atuet Baptist Church, where I had the opportunity to meet and interact with leaders. Their worship structure had been completed, except for the grass roofing material which has not been harvested yet due to the changing seasons. However, they assured me the grass to finish construction would come in after the rain. Another interesting observation was their farming initiative. They were cultivating two acres of land specifically for the church. This would prove beneficial for their meetings once the rainy season subsided.
