  • Measuring ROI isn’t just about proving that marketing works—it’s about making smarter decisions that drive growth. As Diona Kidd points out, too many businesses think their campaigns are working but don’t have the data to back it up. Without clear tracking, it’s impossible to know where to invest more and where to pivot. A strong ROI strategy starts with: ?? Defining what success actually looks like. ?? Using the right tools (CRM, analytics, dashboards) to track impact. ?? Aligning marketing performance with real business outcomes. Tracking ROI doesn’t have to be overwhelming, but it does have to be intentional. What’s one marketing metric you wish you had better visibility into? #ROI #MarketingStrategy #DataDriven #BusinessGrowth

You wouldn’t guess at your revenue—so why guess at your ROI? Too often, I hear businesses say, “We think this campaign worked, but we’re not sure.” Here’s the problem: If you don’t know what’s working, you can’t double down on it. If you don’t know what’s not working, you’ll keep wasting money. Guessing at ROI isn’t just risky—it’s a roadblock to smarter decisions and better growth. The fix? ? Start with clear goals: What does success look like? ? Use the right tools: Whether it’s CRM software or analytics dashboards, make sure you’re tracking the right metrics. ? Align ROI with business outcomes: Metrics like leads and clicks are great, but how are they impacting revenue? Tracking ROI doesn’t have to be complicated, but it does have to be intentional. ?? What’s your biggest struggle with tracking ROI? Let’s trade ideas in the comments. #ROI #MarketingStrategy #DataDriven #BusinessGrowth"

  • ?? "Growing a business isn’t about working harder—it’s about working smarter." It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle—pushing more ads, sending more emails, attending more trade shows. But is all that effort actually driving growth? Real growth doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from doing the right things. That’s where strategic thinking comes in. When your marketing strategy is aligned with your business goals and market trends, everything changes: ? You stop wasting time on tactics that don’t work. ? You focus on the channels that reach the right audience. ? You see progress that’s measurable and meaningful. Strategic thinking isn’t flashy, but it works. It’s the “growth hack” that turns marketing into a driver of real business outcomes. ?? What’s one strategy that’s worked best for your business? Let’s swap ideas in the comments—we’d love to hear what’s been a game-changer for you. #MarketingStrategy #GrowthHacks #BusinessGrowth #WorkSmarterNotHarder

?? "Why Marketing Needs a Clear Plan (and Clearer Goals)" Throwing spaghetti at the wall isn’t a marketing strategy—it’s a fast track to wasted time, money, and effort. But here’s the thing: too many businesses approach marketing without a clear plan. They jump into tactics—ads, trade shows, social media—without knowing how (or if) those efforts align with their goals. A solid marketing plan is like a GPS for growth. It helps you: ? Know where you’re going (and why). ? Focus on the right strategies for your audience. ? Avoid wasting resources on things that don’t move the needle. Without it? Agencies: marketing MAY NOT be your path to leadership conversations. It's like being friends with the drunk uncle nobody likes. I was talking with a William M. who founded his agency 23 years ago. He remembers when marketers had a seat at the table. Remember the 4 Ps? Marketing had power over product, price, placement AND promotion. Now it seems most marketing departments are glorified advertisers. You can't tell me you haven't noticed a general decline in marketing seniority... especially with smaller companies. As agencies of the 25' we struggle to get past conversations about marketing metrics. Our Jr. client counterparts encourage the behavior by asking for 50 slide reports on vanity metrics... they don't know any better. So how do you get to the adult table and have business conversations if your point of contact has taken up primary residence at the kiddy table? Sales and product are the first two orgs I would build a relationship with. Sales is obviously so I won't waste your time. But PRODUCT, especially digital product & SaaS, is just as close to the $$. - Churn rates - Upgrade - Usage data & feedback loops This data both informs your work as marketers and shows the value to the business. Go build more relationships. Get the information you need. Add business value. #agency #servicedesign

  • ?? The Cost of Siloed Sales and Marketing Here’s a common industrial scenario: Sales does all the heavy lifting. Marketing (if it exists) operates in the background, running campaigns disconnected from revenue. The result? ?? Unqualified leads waste sales’ time. ?? Marketing budgets burn on ineffective channels. ?? Valuable customer data stays trapped in silos. When sales and marketing align, everything changes: ?? Leads improve. ?? Campaigns connect to revenue. ?? Your revenue engine works smarter, not harder. ?? How aligned are your teams? What’s stopping them from working together? Let’s chat. #SalesAndMarketing #RevenueAlignment #IndustrialGrowth

  • ?? "Your sales and marketing teams might be working hard, but are they working together?" Our Managing Partner, William, hit the nail on the head with this post. Disconnection between sales and marketing is one of the biggest barriers to growth we see with industrial businesses. It’s not about lack of effort—it’s about lack of alignment. When these teams aren’t on the same page, businesses face: ? Wasted time chasing unqualified leads. ? Campaigns that fail to drive meaningful revenue. ? Missed opportunities to grow. At Knowmad, we’re all about breaking down those silos. By creating shared goals, fostering collaboration, and connecting efforts with tools like HubSpot, we help businesses unlock their full potential. ?? What’s the one thing your sales and marketing teams could do better together? Let’s hear your thoughts! #SalesAndMarketing #IndustrialGrowth #Alignment #RevenueSuccess

?? Your sales and marketing teams might be working hard, but are they working together? I see this all the time: Sales is chasing down leads, frustrated that many don’t convert. Marketing is running campaigns, wondering why sales isn’t closing more deals. Both teams are working hard, but they’re rowing in different directions. The result? ? Wasted time on unqualified leads. ? Campaigns that don’t actually drive revenue. ? Missed opportunities to grow. Here’s the thing: sales and marketing are two sides of the same coin. When they collaborate, everything improves: ? Marketing generates leads that are ready to engage in sales conversations. ? Sales has the insights they need to move the deal forward. ? Revenue grows because everyone is aligned. Collaboration doesn’t happen by accident—it takes shared goals, open communication, and systems that connect efforts to results. ?? What’s one thing your sales and marketing teams could do better together? Let’s hear it below. #SalesAndMarketing #Collaboration #RevenueGrowth #Leadership

  • ? Hitting the Limit: When Sales Teams Can’t Scale Your sales team is maxed out. The deals they’re closing are great, but the only way to grow seems to be adding more bodies—and that comes with skyrocketing labor and commission costs. This isn’t scaling—it’s just survival. To grow predictably, you need scalable systems that: ? Generate qualified leads consistently. ? Free up sales to focus on closing, not prospecting. ? Reduce reliance on headcount growth. ?? Sound familiar? What’s been your team’s biggest roadblock to scalability? Let’s discuss. #SalesGrowth #IndustrialBusiness #Leadership
