My team’s work at Digital Promise strives to support systems-level transformation. Our vision is to close the digital learning gap and advance digital equity to ensure that every learner, regardless of background, has access to Powerful Learning with technology.?? It was awesome to see so many parallels between this work and KnowledgeWorks during the #Aurora24 workshop led by Julianna Charles Brown and Kyle Anderson, Ed.D. focused on Supporting Sustainable Education Transformation.? ?? Some thoughts I’m walking away with:? 1. Transformation in education is not a binary. It’s about changing decades – or almost a century – of how we’ve done school.? 2. Transformational change requires addressing policies, systems, and practices all at the same time. Every layer of the system of a learning environment should be striving for that future together.? 3. It’s a privilege to be able to see your system’s context from the outside. Our system is often not set up to easily provide the time and space to reflect and grow. When we are given the opportunity to step outside, meet the moment with intentionality. Grateful for these deep conversations and the time to “step outside” and reflect on this work! #edtech #educationinnovation #edchat #teaching #learning #innovation #technology #future #futurism
