This is a photo of Sherry Rupert, CEO of the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association Conference with myself, and my producing partner and close friend of many years, Ray Wicks. Our time together was energizing as we enjoyed many meaningful and creative discussions, listened, learned, and built relationships with several other conference participants for collaboration, storytelling and connection. Grateful for experiences such as these.

On a Dark Desert Highway- photo by yours truly somewhere out in the desert as my colleagues and I travel for another video shoot. The open road is winsome, lonesome, and endlessly enchanting.

Our first documentary took our Los Angeles based crew away from home for the first time. It was January 2010 and we went off to St. Joseph, Missouri to start what is now a 15 year and ongoing adventure. The first documentary under the Knowledge Tree Films banner was "Spirit of the Pony Express", celebrating the 150th anniversary of the founding of said express.

Sometimes the road less traveled can pose unexpected challenges during our documentary work. In this photo, captured on location by yours truly, our crew faced a temporary setback when our car got stuck in the sand. Luckily our our second crew vehicle came to the rescue, 4 wheel drive saved the day! Operating in rugged terrains enables us to capture breathtaking footage in remote locations like the one near the Humboldt River in northern Nevada.
