CEO visit to KB Signaling in the U.S. ????Following our late August rail signaling business acquisition in North America, our CEO Marc Llistosella recently visited KB Signaling’s Grain Valley, Missouri, headquarters. It was a great opportunity for him to connect in person with many of the nearly 800 members of our signaling team. A highlight of the time together was a tour of the Grain Valley facility and a live product demonstration with insights into the North American rail signaling market. Signaling is crucial for safe, reliable, and efficient rail transport, making this a highly attractive growth area in the rail industry. The U.S. trip also included visiting our Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC headquarters in Avon, Ohio, where discussions centered on enhanced strategic alignment and joint collaboration. ? Insights into our Generations Network & Expat Program ?? One of the focus areas of our Diversity Strategy is the dimension of Age & Generations! To encourage growth in this area, we've launched an internal Generations Network - a vibrant, cross-generational initiative designed to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and personal growth among colleagues of all ages. ?? We recently held our second Generations@KB Talk on the topic of "Life as an Expat" and were delighted to have former expats and a colleague from the Global Mobility Team as guest speakers. ??They shared fascinating insights into expat life, the cultural challenges, the benefits of international networking and the invaluable lessons learned along the way. Our colleague from the Global Mobility Team added her professional view on expatriation and shared an overview of the requirements and the process of becoming an expatriate. This event brought to life the experiences of our expat community, helping us to learn from each other and gain new perspectives on the global stage. ?? Yesterday, our colleagues Alexandra Rappl and Laszlo Szentmarjay had the extraordinary honor of attending the 10th anniversary celebration of our long-standing strategic partner DEIN MüNCHEN gGmbH. ???????? It was a very special evening. To see what Mara Bertling and her team, Katja Schubert, Stefanie Lill, Veronika Hofst?tter, Bettina Weber am Bach, Rebecca Gutwald and so many more have achieved in this time makes a lasting impression. They start where schools, parents and institutions often reach their limits. ?? Beginning with an initiative to visit the Oktoberfest, thousands of young people have now gone through their programs to discover their potential and get the feeling that the world is open to them - regardless of their backgrounds. ?? Listening to their stories is touching the heart. The positive paths they take are all very individual. They show us how valuable it is to believe deeply and firmly in their potential and to have the #MutAufZukunft (CourageForFuture) together. ?? Speaking of the future: In her keynote speech, Florence Gaub encouraged us to think about it more often. The future is always happening in the here and now, not far away in time. Driving Innovation Forward with the Engineers of Tomorrow! ?? ??? We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the talented Ecurie Aix - Formula Student Team RWTH Aachen e.V. to our Munich headquarters. This dynamic, Knorr-Bremse-sponsored team brought their latest masterpiece with them: the eax03 race car! This impressive vehicle is the third car in the Ecurie family - capable of both driver-controlled and autonomous racing. ??As an official partner of the Formula Student Germany design competition, Knorr-Bremse proudly supports six racing teams each year, sharing both financial resources and technical expertise. Formula Student attracts over 500 teams from around the world, making it the largest engineering competition of its kind. ??During their visit to Munich, the Formula Student team from RWTH Aachen University explored our prototype construction and test rigs and connected with our employees — some of whom are RWTH Aachen University graduates themselves. ?
