Nobody gets the last biscuit! My friend, the late Jimmy Gentry from Franklin, TN grew up here & returned a WWII vet who liberated Dachau concentration camp. He told a story about when he was a kid in the depression after his dad passed away his single mom struggled to make ends meet and as a young growing boy he was always hungry. I can relate! :) One day there was just one biscuit left during breakfast, and when he reached for his second, his mom said, “No Jimmy, nobody gets the last biscuit. He never knew why until one day he hung around after the other kids had left to do their chores, so he stayed back to see where that last one went. In just a few minutes a knock at their back door off the kitchen came and he saw a Hobo (popular during the depression) was there and his mom gave that last biscuit to that homeless man. THE LESSON: No matter how bad you think you have it, there’s always someone worse off than you that you can help! #ServantLeadership #Perspective #Service
