This fall, we hosted our first-ever KLN Olympics, bringing together employees from all of our facilities for some fun, friendly competition. Over 120 team members participated, including some who traveled more than 130 miles from our Delano facility to Perham to join us! The event was about more than just competition—it was a chance to strengthen our company culture. By creating opportunities for our team to bond and connect outside of the workplace, we reinforce the trust, collaboration, and positive energy that are at the heart of everything we do.

What’s in a name? “KLN” are the initials of former CEO Kenny Nelson, one of the founding members of the business. Kenny is the son of Tuffy’s Pet Foods founder, Tuffy Nelson, and the father of current KLN CEO, Charlie Nelson. We believe that the history and success of KLN Family Brands is a direct result of our commitment to our employees and community. We have always believed that “family” is the most important part of the company’s name. Why? Because it’s family that speaks to who we are: a 3rd generation, family-owned company, producing quality brands & products for families by a team of dedicated employees in a family-friendly community.

Last week, we celebrated a very special milestone at The Spot by NutriSource: one whole year of training, boarding, grooming, and playing! It has been such a treat to watch so many dogs build friendships, gain confidence, and experience so much more during their time at The Spot. We are grateful to have an incredible team of dog and cat lovers who make each of our guests feel comfortable and welcome. The Spot is located in Greenfield, MN, just a short distance from Tuffy's Treat Company, our pet treat and cannery in Delano, MN.
