Also, it must be kept refrigerated. The suggested refrigerated shelf life is 6 months for unopened bottles. It can also be frozen and makes great jelly. The 2024 Grape Harvest is underway. Juice for sale to home winemakers are available while supplies last. Home winemakers must call to make an appointment to pick up juice. Fresh grape juice is now available for purchase at the winery and other retail locations. Call 440-933-6666 for more details or to make a juice pick up reservation. Klingshirn Winery is only 20 minutes west of Cleveland which makes a great destination in northeast Ohio. Take I-90 to exit 153 and head north - follow the signs. Wine sampling is available in the retail room, plus outdoor seating is available. You're welcome to pack a picnic or bring your lunch to the winery. Celebrating Throw Back Thursday with a little history of Klingshirn Winery... Albert Klingshirn's son, Allan, purchased the farm and winery in 1955 and began expanding the product line. As the business grew, small barrels were replaced by larger wooden casks and stainless-steel tanks. In 1978, the winery was expanded to four times its original size. The building was now large enough to contain all the production facilities and a retail sales room that is still in operation.
